Week 2: Ezra Ch. 2

The exiles are returning to the land God had given them. This chapter is filled with lists of names, which is tempting to skip. But we know that “[a]ll Scripture is inspired by God and profitable” (2 Timothy 3:16)—so what strikes you about this chapter?

Not all of the exiles are returning, only a remnant. Would it be difficult for you to pick up and move if you had a clear word from the Lord? Have you ever done so? How did you cling to God in the midst?
